-
Click the Edit icon (usually a pencil or gear) in the Tools column.
-
On the Edit Agent page, click on the Permissions tab.
- Note: Here, you’ll see a list of permissions you can enable or disable for the agent. Let’s explore what each permission does.
📋 Understanding Agent Permissions
Agent permissions are designed to give you control over what each agent can do within their account. Below is a breakdown of the key permissions available:

Agents with this permission can view and edit leads assigned to them. They can update contact information, saved searches, saved properties, and verification status. Additionally, they can create My Listing Manager accounts and remove leads. This permission is ideal for agents who handle their own lead management.
Modify Own Bio PageThis permission allows agents to edit their Bio Page. They can add or update bio content, upload a photograph, change contact details, and update their MLS agent ID. It’s perfect for agents who want to keep their profiles up-to-date.
Modify Own ListingsAgents with this permission can view and edit their active MLS listings. They can update listing details such as descriptions, photos, open houses, virtual tours, and map marker locations. They can also create Supplemental Listings and manage inactive listings. This is essential for agents who actively manage their listings.
Can Reassign LeadsThis permission allows agents to reassign their leads to another agent. However, they cannot assign someone else’s leads to themselves. This is particularly useful when a lead selects an agent who doesn’t cover their desired market area.
Shown in Featured Agent WidgetIf you use the Featured Agent Showcase on your website, this permission determines whether the agent appears in the rotation. It’s a great way to highlight specific agents in your team.
Display on Assigned Agent MenuThis permission allows the agent to be selected by visitors on contact forms. It ensures that the right agent is assigned to incoming leads based on their expertise or market area.
Delete Assigned LeadsIf this permission is disabled, agents can only unassign leads instead of deleting them. Unassigned leads are flagged for the account owner to reassign or delete as needed. This adds an extra layer of control over lead management.
🌍 Setting Global Permissions
If you want to apply the same permissions to all agents in your account, you can use the Set Global Permissions feature. Here’s how:
- Click the Set Global Permissions link above the Manage Agents table.
- Adjust the permissions as needed.
- Click Submit.

🌟 Why Use Agent Permissions?
Agent Permissions offer several benefits:
- Streamlined Operations: Ensure agents only access features relevant to their role.
- Enhanced Security: Prevent unauthorized changes to leads, listings, or account settings.
- Flexibility: Customize permissions for each agent or apply global settings for consistency.
- Improved Lead Management: Control how leads are assigned, reassigned, or deleted.
